TOR…ONT…OH OH OH OH…TFC!!! Liverpool jr did not win today, but that’s ok, because the real deal took care of business. Walk On!

Wondering why I haven’t been blogging? Well, this picture should give you a hint.

Finished reading the Watchmen today. I have to say, as my first venture into the world of graphic novels, I was truly impressed. Not what I expected at all. Surprisingly mature, well written and not too cartoonish. I am going to watch the motion picture tonight, hopefully it will live up to the standard that the novel created in my mind.

Sunday

I am currently staring out of the window trying to think of something to write about. People are out walking their dogs, once and a while a car drives by, it is overcast. I can’t help but think about Sunday’s as the most stereotypical day for everyone. Sunday is deemed the day of rest, but doesn’t that just pigeon hole it into being unexciting and uneventful? A day to flick through re-run movies or sports that are about as thrilling to watch as the day is itself (i.e. golf or Nascar). It’s almost as if we accept that Sunday exists to prepare us for the dreaded Monday. Nothing too fancy, a day that will never live up to Saturday but is better than Monday. A true buffer. Poor Sunday, it is hard for it to escape the subjectivity it endures from society. I think next weekend I am going to hold Sunday in a different light. I mean doesn’t it deserve it? It has always been good to me, why shouldn’t I return the favour? Sunday, next time you come around, I will be greeting you with a smile on my face, excited to see you!

Sooooo, I was flicking through the channels last night and stumbled across the movie Eurotrip. I am ashamed to admit it, buuuuuuuuut this movie and I, albeit brief, had a little thing back in first year. Seeing how I was feeling nostalgic, I decided to give it another go. It is what it is except for a few shining moments including when the boys go to London and meet the football hooligans. God bless Vinnie Jones (except when he is attacking people in the bar because they made fun of his role in X-men 3). Anyone with a British heritage will appreciate his portrayal of a stark raving mad brit while all others will just scratch their heads wondering what on earth he is saying. Also, if you have ever had the luxury of meeting my father, this is how he used to speak…

…who am I kidding, he still does.

Hey kids, ever leave a shopping mall in Berlin and think “Hmm, I am famished. I wish that there were a guy with a portable grill belt selling bratwurst somewhere near”. Well you are in luck because for a limited time only you can find one in Alexanderplatz. Leave it to the German’s to make even street-meat more efficient.

Authentic tapas in Madrid, Spain. Spent the afternoon chatting, people watching while eating tapas and drinking the best sangria in the city. Certainly one of my favourite memories from the trip. It tastes as good as it looks.

This was shot in Venice, Italy. Needless to say, the guard dog was much too terrifying for me to work up the courage to enter. I moved right on, never to return.
